Title: Study of microbial depolymerization process with mathematical model and computational analysis

Abstract:

Petroleum based polymers have been produced industrially for a number of decades, and a significant amount of those macromolecules has been accumulated over the surface of the earth and in the water. Those xenobiotic polymers are now potential sources for carbon dioxide emission and the ocean pollution. Efficient techniques for analysis of depolymerization processes must be developed. This presentation focuses on computational study of microbial depolymerzation process. A mathematical modelisdescribed and inverse problems for a time factor and a molecular factor of a degradation rate are illustrated. Experimental data are introduced in computational analysis of inverse problems. Once the inverse problems are solved numerically, a microbial depolymerization process is simulated.
